HDZ member and Vice President of the Parliamentary Committee for Internal Policy and National Security Mario Kapulica was a live guest of N1 Studio.
He referred to the thesis of SDP’s Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, who said that Andrej Plenković is the main cause of radicalization in Croatia.
“To say that Plenković is the main cause of radicalization in Croatia because he visited a tent in Savska and that this led to the radicalization of a young man who was 7 years old at the time and that 9 years later he came with a Molotov cocktail in front of the HDZ – these are such failed theses that I simply cannot believe that I am hearing this from the mouth of a serious politician. “When someone shoots a window at the SDP headquarters with an air rifle, it is a politically motivated attack, an attack on the party, etc.,” he says.
Kapulica says that the Croatian veterans who protested in Savska Street in Zagreb, dissatisfied with the non-resolution of their issues, cannot be compared with the situation of increasing radicalization.
“It is simply unacceptable. When we talk about hate speech, even then I did not hear what I am hearing now in the Parliament. You have representatives in Parliament who say that all HDZ members should be put in concentration camps, you have statements that HDZ members should be treated like Nazis in post-war Germany, you have representatives in Parliament who for a legitimate and democratically elected government they say that the Quislin government. Miletić from Most accuses the people organizing the humanitarian action of stealing the jars in which they put ajvar. That a member of parliament who was a religious teacher can say that, I wonder how far this hatred goes,” he said.
He notes that it is one thing to accuse someone who has committed a crime, and another to persistently impose a thesis that crime has no name and that only the HDZ is behind everything.
“And then when an official of the Homeland Movement whose wife was on the list of the Homeland Movement in Šibenik is arrested, then it has nothing to do with DP and then Ivan Penava saw him a couple of times”, he points out.
Argument with President Milanović
Kapulica says that President Milanović dictated to one of his poltroons and sycophants the text that he published on the official website of the President of the Republic of Croatia.
“If you can find me an example of a single president in the world, even if he was not in the EU, who used such rhetoric in official statements to settle accounts with someone who denied it. We can say that it is a style, but what is the consequence of that style? This translates into those groups that are mesmerized by it,” he says.
“Translated – Kapulica is a traitor, a sold soul and a poltergeist and on top of all that threatens the state’s interest. What is translated in that language to be concluded in the most extreme circles? I am not afraid. I don’t drive like President Milanović in armored cars. I am not protected by the security forces and the special unit of the Croatian army, because of that I do not feel insecure and because of that I will not stop telling the truth”, he adds.
He also commented on Milanović’s statements that he used the situation to get his five minutes of fame.
“Why should I need Milanović to get my 5 minutes of attention? I was at your place when it turned out to be more in the show than him. I’m a politician, I speak publicly and I don’t need Milanović to get attention. The man states that there is a dissonance between what is written in the SOA report and what the Prime Minister said. At the request of his crony Hajdaš, the report comes to the Parliamentary Committee, and Hajdaš convenes a session as instructed. Milanović, who said in that report that there were dissonances, did not threaten national security, but I, who denied it, did,” Kapulica said.
“I know that the train by which President Milanović was supposed to show that the president of all citizens of the Republic of Croatia has long since passed. That nothing remained of his statements in the campaign, and nothing remained of his courage and saber waving in NATO and in front of Erdogan”, he adds.
