Three healthy habits that can disrupt a regular stool

    adminBy adminAugust 18, 2022No Comments3 Mins Read

It’s natural to be frustrated if seemingly good habits are having a negative effect on your gut, but consider checking them out. Small changes to the daily routine could improve the well-being of the body and digestion.

If you’re working to create a healthier, more balanced lifestyle, then you probably have a number of habits that you’ve integrated into your daily routine to help you achieve your goals. And regular, consistent visits to the bathroom are important for overall health and generally feeling good about your own body, but some of the positive habits can actually have a negative effect on your bathroom routine.

Eating processed food, not drinking enough fluids and generally avoiding exercise are some of the well-known bad habits that need to be gotten rid of, but there are also some seemingly healthy habits that can lead to problems in the bathroom, 24sata writes.

3 healthy habits that can spoil digestion:

    1. Eating unripe bananas

Don’t get this wrong, bananas are great, not only are they packed with fiber, but they also offer a great source of potassium to help you reach your daily nutritional goals.

Although they contain nutrients, which act as a prebiotic and feed the good bacteria in the gut, they can also be more difficult to digest. So, if you already have problems with stool regularity, this might not be the best fruit to eat.

    2. Performing intensive exercises

Exercise is generally considered positive for kick-starting the metabolism, but the intensity of the workout can actually make things worse.

    – One of my clients was doing high-intensity interval training almost every day, and it actually put too much stress on her body – says Robin Berzin, instructor.

What is known is that the bowels must be relaxed in order to move. And when you’re stressed all day and then doing high-intensity interval training over and over again, sometimes that doesn’t help with relaxation, digestion and movement, he explains.

    3. Eating more vegetables

A diet full of vegetables will certainly help supply the intestines with the fiber they need for regular emptying, but if you already have problems, a quick intake of lots of greens may not be the best way to solve constipation, reports MBG.

    – If you start adding more herbs to your diet, you will often feel bloated and have increasing discomfort in your stomach. Instead, focus first on getting your ‘rhythm’ back – says gastroenterologist Will Bulsiewicz.

    What to do instead?

It’s only natural to be frustrated if habits you’ve added with good intentions are having a negative effect on your gut health, but if you want to support bowel regularity, consider checking out your existing practices.

Small changes, such as less intense daily exercise, eating more ripe bananas and integrating more vegetables at a more tolerable pace, could improve the well-being of the body and digestion.
